About the artist:
Sourav das(Gopal) is a 17-year-old boy with Autism. He is non vocal and uses Jellow AAC App for basic communication. He also has anxiety issues. So he needs constant engagement. Stringing beads always helps him in getting engaged which had reduced his anxiety.

Appu’s Sarvangasana
About the artist:
Sidharth (“appu”) is a 12-year-old boy with global developmental delay and autism traits. appu was both extremely premature and spent 75 long days in icu at birth with oxygen support. appu has very limited interests but has a personality and mind of his own which is very clear and stubborn. appu decides what he likes and what he wants to do. one of such activities is yoga and specific asanas in yoga. appu does not want to be dictated or fitted into a structure that we want him to fit into. he decides what yoga postures he likes and wants to do – not the therapists or teachers. one such posture he loves is sarvangasana. here is appu doing sarvangasana spontaneously in cubbon park, bangalore.

Mahaniya’s art

She’s 9 years old and goes to Empyrean school in Kharghar Navi Mumbai where she lives with her parents and brother. Mahaniya is a child on the spectrum who feels deeply and believes in superpowers and supervillains. She is fond of the characters in the series Team Titans Go. She likes memes and likes to save them to have a good laugh when she wants to. After she completes grade 3 she wants to work on her pet project “kids raspberry world” which is a club she wants to lead for those, like her. Doodling is her passion and now that school has introduced her to the Scratch program she’s mostly engaged in making cartoon strips about Nano and why he has to be grounded and un-grounded. Her artwork is about a class she attends with like-minded friends called “Learning is meaning ” which is helping her get a sense of self. The group and their educator Ms Sudha Nair have never met in person. This is her depiction of what it would be like if they all came face to face with each other.
